I reviewed, researched, and experimented with a variety of smartwatches on the market and found many brands that cost under $300 have some very impressive features.

Whether you are a serious athlete, like to work out, or simply enjoy the convenience that a smartwatch offers, you just might be pleasantly surprised to learn how much technology is built into each one. Let’s take a look.

My first choice, weighing in at $299.99 is the Samsung Galaxy Watch 4 Classic. This bad boy for your wrist has it all.

Not only does it look fantastic on everyone with its sleek simple design, changeable face graphics, and different colored straps to go along with your mood and personal style, it has a streamlined stainless steel metal frame unlike others at this price point.

This smartwatch is perfect for high-powered workouts, walking in the park, and everyday errands and tasks on your to-do list.

It is built to work for you 24/7 with comfort and breathability and is loaded with stand-out features. With just a click, it will monitor your every workout, act like a coach to keep you motivated and provide readings on body fat, skeletal muscle, body water, and basal metabolic rate.

This smartwatch will also track and monitor your sleep, monitor your heart rhythms, and will record them, allowing you to share the updates with your doctor. And that’s just the beginning of the features you will enjoy for under $300.

This workhorse on your wrist doubles as an extension of your mobile phone, so you can Google on the go, text hands-free, pay for coffee, get directions, get Gmail emails on the go, or play your favorite tunes on YouTube Music.

And get this, thanks to a 4G connection, you can leave your phone at home and still take full advantage of most of the features without your phone nearby.

Keep in mind that the Galaxy Watch 4 Classic does not work with iPhones, it no longer features a rotating bezel and the battery needs to be charged more often than other brands.

2. Fitbit Sense Health & Fitness

If you are a Fitbit fan, like me, you’ll be happy that the Fitbit Sense Health & Fitness Smartwatch is the second one of my favorites under $300.

It’s sleek and easy to wear thanks to a comfortable design and lightweight styling. This Fitbit is perfect for wearing for every activity.

Just as the name implies, this is a smartwatch that was originally designed to help you keep track of your fitness and health and wellness goals but now has evolved to offer many more goodies to help you through your day.

Features like EDA scan app to detect your skin temperature, rate your sleep, keep in tune with your atrial fibrillation and heart rate, and share with your doctor.

It will even tell you if you should be working out or in recovery. It is also loaded with technology, including everyone’s favorite AI, Amazon’s Alexa, or Google’s Assistant built right in.

Set alarms, reminders, and control smart home devices just by easily speaking to your smartwatch. There is also a fabulous easy to access GPS so you will always know where you are and where you are going, a built-in mic, and a speaker for hands-free calls.

Keep in mind that the battery charge lasts about six days and charges really fast compared to other smartwatches. Your mobile phone needs to be nearby in order for the watch to use its features. A Fitbit Premium membership is required for some features.

All you Apple fans will enjoy our next pick for under $300. Third on the list is the Apple Watch SE, a less expensive watch weighing in at $229 with all the bells and whistles of the more expensive ones.

The look and design of an Apple are undeniable with the curved styling that rolls right into the premium easy-to-read and maneuver display that Apple is famous for. The silicone straps are comfortable and keep your watch in place during different activities.

This sweet Smartwatch from Apple gives your the world on your wrist and easily syncs with your smartphone. It is easily compatible with iPhone 5s and later models as well as the Samsung Galaxy S3.

It is water-resistant and has all the bells and whistles for workouts and keeping track of a healthy lifestyle and heart rates, for example, and sends you alerts if something is unusual. It will also provide suggestions to improve your health as the AI gets to know you better.

There is a sleep tracker to help you monitor and improve your sleep patterns.

Included is a GPS and locating tracking system, so you know where you are all the time. It will also store your music, podcasts, and audiobooks, allowing you to enjoy them on the go.

Keep in mind that the battery life is shorter compared with other brands and you’ll have to schedule charging sessions during the day, especially if you plan on tracking your sleep patterns. This smartwatch comes with a USB charging cable, but not a wall plug-in that is needed to purchase separately.

So which Smartwatch under $300 is the best one? This is a difficult question to answer because each one has unique strengths and features.

Personally, you cannot go wrong with any smartwatch on this list. If you are looking for a great-looking, classic watch design, go with the Samsung Galaxy Classic, my number one choice. If you are looking to get more bang for your budget, go for the Fitbit Sense.

If you are an Apple fanatic and enjoy the familiar features that Apple always brings to the table, the Apple Watch SE will not disappoint.

Purchase all three smartwatches online by visiting their individual company websites or on Amazon.com.
